What happened?
The Blues started the game on the front foot and were rewarded with an early opener. Cole Palmer converted a spot-kick to put the hosts ahead in the 15th minute.
The Gunners struggled to mount a comeback during the first half as Chelsea pushed to double their lead. The Blues finally extended their lead only three minutes after the break. Mykhailo Mudryk stunned David Raya with a wonderful strike from the left-hand side of the box to make it 2-0.
Arsenal immediately started their efforts to get back into the game but had to wait until the 77th minute to score. Following a shocking misplaced pass from Robert Sanchez, Declan Rice smashed the ball into the back of the net from behind the box to make it 2-1.
The Gunners’ pressure increased as the second half went on. Mikel Arteta’s side finally escaped the defeat when Leandro Trossard converted a sublime cross from Bukayo Saka.
Bukayo Saka made another fantastic display for the Gunners as they drew 2-2 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The England international put constant pressure on the left-hand side of Chelsea’s defence, finally providing an assist for Arsenal’s equalizer.
