The husband, Adetola Ade­bayo hails from Ososa, the late Hubert Ogunde town in Ogun State, while the wife, Bose is from Idosi-Ekiti in Ondo State.

Saturday INDEPENDENT reported on Saturday, July 29, 2023, the pathetic story of Abo­sede who was sick about seven years ago and in the process of treatment, she lost her two eyes.

The husband, a junior staff with a private enterprise told Saturday INDEPENDENT that about four months ago, the wife fell ill again and he carried her to the hospital. At the initial stage, she was diagnosed of malaria fever. After a while, it graduated to both malaria and typhoid fe­ver. After the completion of the treatment, there was no sign of relief on Bose.

Eventually, she was diag­nosed of kidney failure and had to be on dialysis to survive.

Speaking with Saturday INDEPENDENT, the husband said she was recently discharged when they could not pay the bill any longer. However, the health condition deteriorated on Thurs­day and this made the family to return her back to the hospital.

“She was restless and could not talk again. We had to rush her back to the hospital. The situation has been unbearable. I never planned it like this. My wife was on dialysis and we were paying N87000 per session of op­eration. I don’t want my wife to die. Nigerians should please help us.”

A few days ago, when Bose spoke with our correspondent before the recent complication, she begged Nigerians to save her from untimely death.
